
Dr. Paul DeLaune is the Department Head of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences (CSES) at the University of Arkansas. Prior to his arrival in November 2024, he worked for 17+ years for Texas A&M AgriLife Research at Vernon, beginning as an Assistant Professor or Environmental Soil Science and earning the titles of Regents Professor and Faculty Fellow. He worked in soil and water conservation in semi-arid cropping systems, focusing on regenerative agriculture practices such as conservation tillage, crop rotation, cover cropping, and integrated crop-livestock systems in predominantly wheat and cotton cropping systems.
He is a graduate of the CSES department, where he led efforts to develop a Phosphorus Index for Pastures and the Eucha/Spavinaw P Index.
